Courses in this level below:
Sepsis is a serious complication of an infection. Without quick treatment, sepsis can lead to multiple organ failure and death. This training is designed to provide staff with awareness of the condition and guide them through the treatment process.
This introductory two hour training session is designed to provide your managers and senior staff with the knowledge you need to ensure your organisation is complying with the General data protection regulations (May 2018). The way data is managed today is totally different than even ten years ago, this legislation reflects the changes and challenges that data protection means to our workplace.
The course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to prepare and implement activities within the care plan format and approved care pathways. Staff will learn how to create, implement, react and review those activities in a person centred way and to achieve the level of knowledge required to be confident in client risk assessment. The course includes time for the tutor to support the manager/s to discuss and review the current care plan format if adaptations are needed. The end point goal of this training is to achieve an effective person centred care plan format that managers are confident in using and that they can subsequently cascade to front line staff to improve their interventions within the activities of daily living for people they support.
This course is aimed to provide primary care givers (RN or CSW if ‘fit for purpose’) with the skills required to manage stoma care. If you are supporting service uers with a colostomy bag this short 2hr module will provide valuable insight to daily care and safe practice.
This half day training is designed for those who wish to be fit for purpose in working with syringe drivers, particular reference is to the McKinley T34 syringe pump.
The RCN describes VOD accordingly.. ‘Confirmation or verification of death is defined as deciding whether a person is actually deceased. Confirmation or verification of death can be undertaken by a registered nurse however you must check your employer’s policies to determine local agreements about the circumstances in which this can be done’. This half day course will empower trained staff (Registered nurses who’s current registration is active) to carry out the VOD.
