- Summary
The RCN describes VOD accordingly.. ‘Confirmation or verification of death is defined as deciding whether a person is actually deceased. Confirmation or verification of death can be undertaken by a registered nurse however you must check your employer’s policies to determine local agreements about the circumstances in which this can be done’. This half day course will empower trained staff (Registered nurses who’s current registration is active) to carry out the VOD.
- Who should attend?
This training is designed specifically for registered nurses who require the skills to enable them fit for purpose to carry out verification of death at their workplace.
