The purpose of this training is to provide to a group of staff an opportunity to explore early onset
dementia’s and the impact this has on the individual and social network.- Who should attend?
Staff who work supporting individuals who have early onset dementia.

- Pick, Korsakov, Alzhiemer, Huntingdon,
- Vascular dementias and brain injuries.
- Understand the processes involved in the brain and how they are
- affected by Dementia
- Lean more about the Frontal and temporal lobe
- Watch a short clip of personal experiences for younger adults
- Develop empathy for the problems associated with dementia at a younger age
- Ethical issues surrounding sexuality and personal boundaries
- Learn about treatments that are available
- How many candidates may attend?

The key points to remember are:
1. The training venue should be quiet and undisturbed.
2. Staff should not be expected to be on duty
3. Staff attending must remain for the entire length of the session to obtain a certificate.
