Summary

The course provides an awareness to Cornelia de Lane syndrome. It provides learners with key areas of knowledge and explores important themes such as individuality, communication, behaviour, particularly challenging and self injurious, and how to offer person centred support.

 

Who should attend?

Staff who support people with a learning disability that has been recognised as Cornelia de Lange syndrome.

This training is not limited in staff attendance.

Equivalent Relevant information

1. Certificates are issued for each learners and if dated, are valid to that period. N.B Learners attending
must complete the entire duration of the training to qualify for a certificate.
2. A learner assessment may be required post training for audit and PDP purposes.
