- Summary
This course is aimed at health and social care staff undertaking clinical
procedures and who require an overview or refresher of best practice.
The course will review a variety of clinical procedures through their use,
the care methodology required and the administration involved. N.B This training can be bespoke to your teams requirements.- Who should attend?
This training is relevant to nurses or support workers who support individuals who require clinical interventions in a range of
settings, community, residential or supported living.- Proposed Learner Outcomes - The worker must be able to

1. Understand the clinical procedures involved in Epilepsy
including use of Epi pen and Buccal Midazolam
2. Understand the clinical procedures involved in Gastro and Jejunal
tubes
3. Understand the Stoma bag and brief overview of stoma care
4. Understand when and how to implement Nasal gastric feeding
5. Carry out acompetency test - How many candidates may attend?
- This training is not limited in numbers.
Equivalent Relevant information
1. Certificates are issued for each learner and if dated, are valid to that period. N.B Learners attending
must complete the entire duration of the training to qualify for a certificate.
2. A learner assessment may be required post training for audit and PDP purposes.
