- Summary
The purpose of this training session is to provide, to a group staff within the
workplace, an introduction into the planning and implementing process
involved in delivering meaningful activities to older people. It is often used as a selection process to identify potential coordinators within the team.- Who should attend?
All staff and activities coordinators who plan and /or deliver activities in care homes, day centres or advocate on a one to one basis or support staff who do.

specific service users in more detail
∇ implement a broader range of activities techniques
∇ develop their motivation skills
∇ develop a broader knowledge of potential resources

∇ identify the ideal frequency of activities

1. For registered nurses or those involved in the Qualifications and credit framework, who wish to
incorporate this training into your portfolio’s, you should carry out practice reflection (CPD) and attach
subsequent evidence from this training
2. Certificates are issued for each learner, however, selected coordinators can carry out further training.
3. Learner assessments are required for post training audit which may need to be returned to our centre for
marking.
N.B Staff must attend the full duration of the session in order to obtain a certificate
Registration details are kept by us for Seven years and are legal documents. It is important to register in block capitals clearly on the day.
