- Summary
This course is about knowledge and understanding of individuals who may have
specific needs for receiving medication because of their experience of dementia.- Who should attend?
Individuals who have current medication training and who wish to enhance their
knowledge and understanding when supporting individuals with dementia in a
range of settings.- Proposed Learner Outcomes - The worker must be able to

• Understand the common medications available to, and appropriate for,
individuals with dementia
• Understand how to provide person centred care to individuals with
dementia through the appropriate and effective use of medication - How many candidates may attend?
- This training is not limited in numbers.
Equivalent Relevant information
1. Certificates are issued for each learners and if dated, are valid to that period. N.B Learners attending
must complete the entire duration of the training to qualify for a certificate.
2. A learner assessment may be required post training for audit and PDP purposes.
