Summary

This course provides essential training to develop fire wardens  who will be responsible in the management of fire safety in the
work place. It is suitable for staff from all areas of the organisation.

Who should attend?

This training is relevant to workers with a responsibility for fire safety in a
wide range of settings. It will provide the learner with the knowledge and
skills required to carry out their work safely.

• Understand how to prevent fires from starting
• Understand how to prevent fires from spreading
• Understand what measure to take to prevent fires from starting
• Understand the emergency procedures to be followed in the event of a
fire starting in the work setting
• Understand the importance of keeping evacuation routes clear at all
times.
• Understand their responsibilities with regard to the organisation
• Understand the responsibilities of the fire brigade How to prepare for a
risk assessment
• How to carry out a risk assessment
• How to implement a risk assessment
• How to review and revise risk assessments
• How to manage a fire evacuation incident
• Review of an incident

1. Certificates are issued for each learners and if dated, are valid to that period. N.B Learners attending
must complete the entire duration of the training to qualify for a certificate.
2. A learner assessment may be required post training for audit and PDP purposes.
Registration details are kept by us for Seven years and are legal documents. It is important to register in block
capitals clearly on the day.

3. N.B There is a surcharge of £66  for the fire extinguishers which will be used by staff  in the demonstration.
