- Summary
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in a qualification that covers the
basic principles of food hygiene for caterers and other food handlers. As this course involves a pass/fail examination , a pre course assessment will be required.- Who should attend?

- Firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved;
- Understanding of how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling);
- Confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food.
Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years.

- This training is not limited in numbers.
Equivalent Relevant information
1. Certificates are issued by the CIEH for each learner where successful in the examination.
N.B Learners attending must complete the entire duration of the training to qualify for a certificate.
2. A strict learner assessment is required post training -guidelines will be issued pre course
3. The course cost does not include the cost of the CIEH certificate and learner workbook if required.
This course is delivered by a third party CIEH registered centre.
