Summary

This one day event is a bespoke training day for managers who wish to ensure they are clear about up to date legislation and have the opportunity to discuss new initiatives in care and the impact this will have on the management process. In April 2015 a number of new initiatives and changes will be introduced into care. Due to the flexible nature of the sector the content will be fine tuned to the events at the time the training is booked. For the purposes of current suitability, the outcomes have been produced with the care sector news relevant to late 2014 and will be reviewed mid to late 2015.

This training is suitable for area managers , residential home managers, supervisors and team leaders.

  • Understand the CQC operating model and overview of the new regulations against current
  • Understand the Key lines of enquiry model
  • Look at guidance how to meet the regulations
  • Understand an overview of enforcement guidance
  • Know where to source enforcement information
  • Review the Care ACT and the impact on safeguarding
  • Know where to source multi agency policies
  • Understand the new care certificate principle
  • Know how to monitor competence and assess using workplace assignments
  • Understand the ‘learning through work ‘ principle
  • Understand the new standards for induction through the care certificate framework.
